Privacy Policy for Impact Budget

Last updated: September 19, 2026

Impact Budget is a personal budgeting application developed by Impact Group. This Privacy Policy explains how Impact Budget handles information when you use the app.

Information You Enter

Impact Budget allows you to enter and manage information such as:

Impact Budget does not require you to create an account.

Your personal budgeting data is primarily stored locally on your device. Impact Group does not operate a cloud server that receives or stores your personal budgeting database.

Local Data Storage

Budgeting information created in Impact Budget is stored locally on your device.

You can remove this information by deleting records within the app, clearing the app's data through Android settings, or uninstalling the app.

You are responsible for backups or exports you create.

Local Network Sync

Impact Budget includes local-network synchronization features that can transfer data directly between devices on the same private network.

When you choose to use this functionality, budgeting information selected for synchronization may be transmitted between those devices.

Impact Budget does not route this local synchronization through an Impact Group cloud server.

Local-network synchronization may use unencrypted HTTP communication on the private local network.

Location

Impact Budget may request location permission for app features that use location information, such as expense geotagging.

Location information used by these app features is handled locally unless the user chooses to transfer or synchronize related records using the app's existing sharing or synchronization functions.

Google advertising services may also derive approximate location from information such as the device's IP address.

Advertising

The free version of Impact Budget displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob.

According to Google, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information including:

Google may use this information for purposes including advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance.

Impact Budget does not sell your personal budgeting records to advertisers.

Users who purchase the one-time Impact Budget Premium upgrade have advertisements removed from the app.

For information about Google's data practices, please review Google's privacy policies and information relating to Google AdMob.

Advertising Consent and Privacy Choices

Impact Budget uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising consent and privacy choices where required.

Depending on your location and applicable law, Google may display a consent or privacy message before advertising requests are permitted.

Where required, Impact Budget also provides access to Google's privacy-options interface so that applicable advertising privacy choices can be reviewed or changed.

Google Play Billing

Impact Budget offers a one-time Google Play purchase called Impact Budget Premium, which permanently removes advertisements.

Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.

Google Play handles payment information and the financial transaction. Impact Budget does not receive or store your credit-card or bank-account details.

Impact Budget receives purchase and ownership information from Google Play as necessary to determine whether the Remove Ads entitlement is owned and to restore that entitlement.

Impact Budget does not operate its own billing backend and does not intentionally persist Google Play purchase tokens, order IDs, or Google account identifiers as part of your budgeting data.

Google Play's own privacy and payment policies apply to purchases made through Google Play.

OCR and Receipt Scanning

Impact Budget provides user-initiated, on-device optical character recognition (OCR) functionality that can process supported receipt or bank-slip images selected by the user.

OCR processing is designed to occur locally on the device rather than sending the contents of selected financial documents to an Impact Group OCR server.

Impact Budget's base release does not continuously scan the user's photo library or automatically monitor image folders for new receipts.

Additional automated transaction-import features may be introduced in a future version. If those features materially change how user information is accessed or processed, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

Third-Party Services

Impact Budget currently integrates with services including:

These services may process information according to their own privacy policies.

Impact Group does not control data that Google independently collects as part of providing Google Play, advertising, billing, or consent-management services.

Data Sharing

Impact Group does not sell your personal budgeting information.

Your budgeting database is not uploaded to an Impact Group cloud server.

Information may nevertheless be transmitted:

Data Security

Impact Budget uses local device storage for your budgeting information.

Communications with Google services use the security mechanisms provided by those services.

As described above, local-network synchronization may use unencrypted HTTP communication when transferring information between devices on a private local network.

Users should only use local synchronization on networks and with devices they trust.

Data Deletion

Impact Budget does not require an account.
